El Paso Community Resources

Mission:

To promote partnerships between parents, professionals, and various agencies to work together to combine resources and to find solutions to problems within the community that are affecting children with disabilities.

Since 1989, CDIC has consisted of numerous volunteers, parents, professionals and other interested persons, who are committed to assist children with disabilities. The goals is that children reach their fullest potential and become valuable members of their community.

What services are offered?

• Educational trainings as well as Information & support to parents of children with any disability ages 0-25
• Workshops on parenting a child with special needs, educational rights, ARD's, IEP's, IDEA 2004, NCLB & many more
• One on one help with preparing for an ARD meeting, understanding your child's records, communicating with school personnel, etc.
• An annual symposium.

Mentes Brillantes

Support Group for Families of Children with Down Syndrome

• (formerly Lollipop Kids):
• When: Meetings the first Saturday of each month

ChAMPS Family Support Groups:

2. Left Click & when prompted click the Save Button.
3. In the "Save As" Dialog box that appears, Select "Desktop" from the icon list to the right of the box.
4. In the file name you should sei "YIP Helpline Directory 07.pdf".
5. Click the save button.
6. When the download is complete, you may get a box that prompts you to "Open folder", and "Close", click the Open folder button.
7. Double click the YIP Helpline Directory 07.pdf file.
