Texas Technology Access Program Resources


    Short-Term Device Loan

    The AT Device Lending Library offers short-term loans of AT devices to individuals with disabilities, their families, and qualified professionals so they can assess the value of the device in their normal environments. This allows for the indivdual to make an informed choice about what device to purchase or whether to purchase a device at all.

  • Device loans are free with a loan period of 6 weeks.
  • Device loans may br renewed if the device has not been requested by another borrower.
  • Device loans are available to anyone in Texas.
  • Shipping is free both ways.
  • To request a device loan:

    Complete a request form on-line or download and print a form, or call 1-800-828-7839 and ask that a Loan Request Form be sent to you by mail.

    RE-USE

    Recycling assistive technology devices is a great way to make assistive technology available to people with disabilities at low or no cost. The Texas Technology Access Program supports two recycling programs.

    Project Mend, Inc.

    is an organization with medical equipment reutilization program operating in San Antonio, Texas. Project Mend provides refurbished equipment through long-term loans to persons with disabilities who can demonstrate financial needs.
